After first been touched by the power of electronic music in the early 90`s in Ibiza, Roberto started to purchase his own records. The journey begun with the easiest music we all could get, commercial disco. This time he was only 12 years old.After a huge competition with friends about who got the coolest remixes with groups like 2 unlimited, Rythm is Rythm and the legendary KLF, he started to enjoy the whole collecting thing.In -93 Roberto went to his first real nightclub and was totally hooked up the first time he heard "Luv 4 Luv" (Robin S) and got mind fucked about the great bass line and the nice vocals. He started to search for house music with techy minimalistic pressures.After a few years, this was a long time before internet was introduced by the way!He went to a trip to Germany and for the first time in many years he found exactly that music he was searching for.
He borrowed a few Euros from his mother and bought "M4" with Maurizio.
That was the start of everything and he couldn`t understand how beautiful this music was to his ears.Like all the others, Roberto got into the "goa trance" culture that everybody was listening to here in Sweden and got the great start of how great a big outdoor party can be.Okay it was not exactly that kind of music he wanted to hear but the feeling of being dancing outdoor was amazing.He got a nice pair of CD players and started to study how music was built up so he could learn mixing. Today Roberto plays everything between minimalistic to heavy progressive techno tunes.Roberto always plays what he like and never looks back to what`s trendy. That`s made him unique.Don`t be surprised if he`s playing something totally different from the track before, or even better, sometimes he even put in an old classic above it all.This style is just based on one thing. Having fun and give the crowd something to shout about!
The last years he has been travelled around different interesting places around the globe. From big clubs in Poland, Spain, UK and Italy to a whole lot of Scandinavian small clubs into the darkest places you ever can image.It`s interesting to see his whole life being dedicated to music and how he builds up the club nights he`s running. Roberto is the founder of Sub7 Networks. A company based on the two most important things is the world. Having fun and introduce the electronic music to new people. In 2006 you will see Roberto in a few resident bars in Gothenburg and of course on Sub7 Sessions (check out the club homepage). Today the club (SUB7) is one of the biggest growing clubs in Sweden and artist/DJ`s like Pete Gooding, Desyn Masiello, Simon & Shaker, Oliver Klein, Martin H, David West, Inkfish and Mark Knight has already been played already.
