About Me

Allie Nicole is a talented Los Angeles based vocalist who's been singing since the age of two when her Grandmother, (a former singer and dancer who traveled the world), realized Allie had something special when she was singing in the backseat of the car to Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and other big song singers and heavily encouraged her Mom to enroll her in private voice lessons. "My Grandma was always singing and playing tapes in the car, and she said I memorized the songs so quickly and was actually on pitch!!" Allie loved to sing with her family as her proud audience, but was incredibly shy and didn't like all the attention she received when she sang! It wasn't until years later and many destined circumstances that Allie finally realized what she was put here to do!One day at a Saddleback Church youth function, Allie finally agreed to sing karaoke after the intense persistence of friends. " I told them I'd only sing if someone got up there and sang with me! My friend got me up there and she didn't even make it to the chorus, before walking off the stage and leaving me up there to sing by myself! So I had the choice of looking like a complete fool or pulling it off! Needless to say I pulled it off!" laughs Allie. The staff at the church heard her sing and immediately approached off stage about her doing a solo. Allie who had not really yet performed in front of a large crowd, was nervous and declined. The following week she received a call from the church telling her that she was on the schedule to sing a solo the following weekend. "They went behind my back without me knowing and I remember being SO scared!!!" She nervously accepted and performed for an audience of 500 people her first time out. She received great praise and from that point on things just kept getting better. She continued singing in the Saddleback Church Youth group where she was a regular soloist and performer. The choir director even allowed her to lead the entire band on occasion. She was also asked to be the main soloist on an album the church was recording. During this time she was also attending private vocal lessons 1-2 times a week from Carole Cole of Mission Viejo, CA She slowly started gaining the confidence she needed to perform.By her senior year of high school she caught the eye of the highly esteemed music director for the main congregation, who encouraged her to audition for the special music group at the church. "I walked in and I was the youngest one to audition and they made me go first! I didn't have high hopes of making it, because everyone in there was twice my age and amazing!" explains Allie. A week later and no call back, she figured she didn't make it, until she received a phone call from the music director asking why she wasn't at practice! "I was shocked! I explained and he apologized! I guess someone had forgot to call me and let me know I made it!" Allie soon became a frequent soloist and performed for the main congregation which at the time consisted of 50,000+ members. She was the only seventeen year old to make the group of twenty five singers aside from the three hundred person choir. Allie became acclimated to singing with a live band, sound checks, being on camera, and performing for five or more services over a weekend, as well as around town with the praise group at different venues in Orange County, CA. She was also asked to perform for an international Pastor's conference that was attended by pastors from all over the world.Outside of church, Allie continued in her vocal training where she trained in many styles. "I even did opera and classical!" She was also being contacted to sing for weddings and events where she lived. She sang for a tribute to the 9/11 victims the city held as well as the local rodeo and was also asked to be one of the lead character singers for a Fourth of July Orange County event.Things were starting to come together and more and more people were learning and catching on that Allie could sing. For her high school graduation she performed "That's What Friends Are For." "I wasn't even in the choir, but a friend who was, explained to the choir director that I sang apparently, again, behind my back, but I went to audition and made it!" Then as a graduation gift, Allie was given money to record a demo at a local recording studio. The studio owners, who were also songwriters, were impressed with her voice, and asked her to do some demo work. Allie soon began working with them for a period of five years and learned the ins and outs of recording. "I'd be in the studio sometimes 12 hours straight and still trying to make it through my first semester of college! It came down to music or school and I chose music! I didn't even finish out my first semester!" At the time Allie was networking and going to Hollywood to work and record with some well known producers who also praised her for her talents. She found herself working along side of some of the industry's biggest hitmakers!Allie was offered some projects in the Christian market, a production deal overseas with a producer who worked with Sony Germany as well as a couple other record deals. To much of Allie's frustration, the deals ended up not being the right deals, so she kept pressing on and connected with a producer and wrote and recorded her first song "Don't Keep Me Waiting Long". Allie has continued to meet and work with several incredibly talented producers and writers. She has also done work with Disney for projects and shows in Walt Disney World. Another opportunity was being asked to sing the National Anthem for some major professional sporting events. She has some exciting opportunities coming up in the near future! Allie credits her inspiration to her Grandmother and the support of her family as she continues to pursue her promising solo career as a Pop/R&B artist!View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment
