Club Wow

About Me

Club Wow began as a Jimmy Zero {former Dead Boys guitarist} solo recording project in 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio at Kirk Yano's After Dark Recording Studios. With Kirk producing, musicians such as Wayne Weston, George Sipl, an 18 year old guitarist Billy Sullivan also contributed to the project. The solo project became a band idea after the teaming up w Zero & Sullivan. Zero enlisted ex- Dead Boys bandmate and former Blue Ash bassist Frank Secich and drummer Jeff West from the New York band the "Testors" to round out the lineup. The band began to feverishly write songs and set out for a recording contract. The band also played some live shows in Cleveland & Youngstown, Oh, Buffalo, NY & N.Y.C. The band never recieved the recording contract they hoped for and split up in early 1985. Jimmy Zero went on to reunite for a reunion tour with the Dead Boys in 1986. Frank Secich retired from the business to raise a family until recent years, reunited with Blue Ash. Jeff West moved back to N.Y.C. and now runs a rehearsal facility. Billy Sullivan continued in the business. He had a regional single release called "Never Again {Without You} in 1986. The song was climbing the charts in various parts of the country until poor managment forced the demise of the record all together. Billy went on to become a side musician with artists such as Gary Lewis, Eric Carmen, The Raspberries, Mark Lindsay, Mitch Ryder, Sam Moore, Peter Noone.Club Wow was: Jimmy Zero- Lead Vocals, Guitar Billy Sullivan- Lead Guitar, Vocals Frank Secich- Bass Guitar, Vocals Jeff West- Drums
