Ideas that spread like wildfire, building websites that change the world, listening to inspiring music, rock climbing, soccer , photography, chess, go, sharing music and all things thought provoking and inspiring. My favorite food might just be broccoli with cheese, or sushi, I think it's a tie. :-D Also, there are three websites that you have to go to... the first is cursor.org which will help you get to know all the other news sources that exist in English, just scroll down its main page and look at the list of blogs, newspapers, magazines, commentary, and other info sources. Then there's the site for Z Magazine called Z Net . One part of it that is guaranteed to knock your socks off is it's quote archive . Lastly there's Get Your War On which is freak'n brilliant! Also, if you don't know about it, Adbusters magazine is amazing and jaw-dropping. Go to their website Adbusters.org .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

People who don't care how they look. People with 5+ years of experience in the meat packing industry, pregnant nuns, people who aren't afraid of criticism, people who have something to share, people with grapefruits, people who are insatiable, and people without grapefruits.
I also want to meet people who love music and can dream. Anyone who loves doing something that they never thought they could do. People who are overflowing with energy. People who are living in the town that they grew up in and who have never experienced another culture. Anyone who considers themself an artist in any way. People who realize that our government and major media is completely ridiculous. Tambien quisiera conocer gente que hablan espanol, por que necesito practicar, aunque ya lo hablo bueno.

I try to think outside the box. In high school during the summers I watched MTV for hours and hours every day. In college I mostly watched movies. In San Francisco television watching was a privilege of time and finance. In Vegas there's really nothing on. I find myself on the internet much more and trying to get outside with friends more and reading books to figure out how MySQL works. I just recently bought The DaVinci Code as an audio book on CD, but I got it in Spanish so I have to listen to each chapter 3 times before I can understand it. But now, I think I'm going to start carpooling the 25 mile drive to work so I'm not sure I'm going to have a chance to listen to it very much. I kind of would like to play out that scene from Office Space in the field with a baseball bat, only instead of a printer it'd be a TV. :-D HA
"Right now, there is a whole, an entire generation that never knew anything that didn't come out of this tube. This tube is the gospel, the ultimate revelation; this tube can make or break presidents, popes, prime ministers; this tube is the most awesome goddamn propaganda force in the whole godless world, and woe is us if it ever falls into the hands of the wrong people..."-- Howard Beale, Network, 1976
First off, I highly recommend reading anything by Howard Zinn , Noam Chomsky , and Arundhati Roy . Secondly, there's this book called "When Smoke Ran Like Water" by Devra Davis PH.D, Z Net , and all the stuff you find at cursor.org .

Smedley Butler ~
"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902–1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smedley_Butler
John Stockwell ~
"It is the function of the CIA to keep the world unstable, and to propagandize and teach the American people to hate and fear, so we will let the Establishment spend any amount of money on arms."

Me ~
I can understand learning to kill another human to the extent that it fulfills the need for self-defense in life-threatening situations. However, teaching someone to hate a group of people, simply for being different than you is unjustifiable, and especially when the impetus for the conflict at hand was simply to increase a countries economic and military control over the rest of the world, and to give corporations a lot of money. Soldiers are not robots, but that they are treated like robots by our military and our government. The less a service person has emotions beyond hate and the less they think independent thoughts the happier the US Defense Department and our government is. The functions of our military and defense systems right now is not to promote peace but to promote the economic agenda of Wall-Street bankers and the large corporations that lobby those in power. This is done with no respect or regard for human life or the promotion international peace. Wars are fought for economic control and for profit. Particularly the wars we (the U.S.) start.
I really love Einstien's quotes too, but his one about "mark[ing] in rank and file" is a little harsh to post here.
