Malicious started back in 1995. The original group consisted of four members: Tre, Faticious, Swake, and E-Dog. The group had one single(Rumors '95)working exclusively with producer/rapper Metaphor. The group disbanded the following year. Tre resurfaced two years later with new members Kimma, The Wolf, and Smoke, recording the demo Definition '99. In 2001 they added new members, Chicago native Mos Potent and Kid Krossova(Kimma's younger cousin) and recorded Hiphopcracy/Welcome to the Lyrical Resistance(2001) and Life's Soundtrack(2002). In '03 they opened their home studio (The Attic) and began work on their debut album The Pieces Fit. This also marked the official jump-off of their independent record label Ill from tha Mil Entertainment. With the release of The Pieces Fit coming in January of 2004 they promptly began working on their second offering Here Nor There. Coinciding with the release of this album in summer of '05 Malicious started doing live gigs around Milwaukee. They have done shows at many different venues including The B-Side, The Highbury Pub, The Jackalope Lounj, Room 434, The Doctor's Office, Stonefly(The new home of their quarterly event Drunk'n Cipher Saturdays),Mary's on the Corner, The Up & Under, Quarter's,Club Asian Moon, Mike's Corner Bar, CJ's Lounge in Rockford,IL., Chubby Rains House of Tunes in Poplar Grove, IL, and K&D Standard Hall in Sheboygan. With the release of their third full-length album "Tha People's Empire" (May 2007)upon them the group plans to have a continuous schedule of shows and push the new CD. Also with the recent departure of long-time member Mos Potent the remaining members are working on material for a new album which should be done by mid-2008.
