My Interests

UIC is a student run organization available to serve campus fellowships. Communication is the primary role UIC holds for on campus fellowships to organize, plan, and coordinate events (i.e. prayer chains, inter-fellowship praise nights, and other gatherings).
UIC also provides prayer support and links other fellowships together to make unity in Christ a realization apparent and clear. UIC is not here to process the development or growth of unity, but to make it a realization, since we are already a Body united in Christ.

Philosophy of Unity in Christ
Unity in Christ started out as a movement that came from the passionate desire of a group of students during the mid-1990s. During that time, students were frustrated with what they saw as competition between fellowships, advertising to Christians and non-Christians during the first week of Fall quarter and wooing them into a particular group. As a result, UIC began its work as an organization not to draw attention to itself, but to spread an 'awareness' in the minds of people.
UIC is a registered campus organization that is available for students to serve three primary reasons:
I. To establish effective communication between fellowships and to update Christians in the Davis community and beyond with news about Christs work among Christians.
II. To impart a dynamic and impacting mindset in the hearts of Christians through the witness of the Love of God the Father.
III. To complement the fellowships through service and prayer.
May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:23b

UIC Statement of Faith
We affirm our faith in the following statements:
- The bible is the inerrant and infallible written word of God in their autographs, meaning the Bible inerrant and infallible in its original language Hebrew and Greek for Old and New Testaments respectively.
- The unity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, one God existing in three persons.
- The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
- The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering men and women deserving of Gods just judgment.
- Jesus, fully God and fully man, sent by the Father, manifested by the Holy Spirit; the incarnate Son of God, his in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- The deliverance from guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death once and for all time of our representative and substitute, Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and human kind.
- The only holy universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all true believers belong as part of the family of God. (The spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.)

Hey everyone - so I kicked off the week this morning - I meant to pray from 12 - 2 but ended up staying until 3, though I did fall asleep a little at the end.  I don't want to seem like I'm brag...
