About Me

On their way to creating a bigger buzz than a Peruvian Snowstorm the Suicide Darlings embellish the sleekness and savvy of the "next" New Wave, a satisfying fix for the masses cravings for candy that is both pleasing to the eye and sweet on the ear. After their exodus from the "LA" scene, the band members regrouped in their native and nicotine capitol of North Carolina during the winter of 2005. The writing and recording sessions for their debut CD " Tragic for the Masses" immediately followed. What was birthed was a kaleidoscopic lyrical journey through the angst and confusion of post-modern life with the rhythms and melodies of the London underground and its soundtrack. Having past involvement in the Atlanta, San Diego and Los Angeles music scenes, not to mention club dates throughout the U.S. each member brings an extensive musical history along with a list of previous bands to numerous to name. Armed with the power of a sawed off shotgun that playfully hits you with the sting of a velvet glove, Suicide Darlings take aim at the often bland and clone producing world of the music industry. All song written and arranged by Joey Barnes, Jason Blaustein, Todd Oakley and Todd Rierson. Lyrics by Jason B, Joey B, and Todd O.In closing and in quote... " We are the music makers. We are the dreamers of the dream. We are the movers and shakers of the world forever it seems." -Arthur O'Shaughnessy
