MyGen Profile GeneratorToo Phat History
The culture of emceeing has always been about battling with rhymes and staying fresh above the others since back in the days. Flowing with mind provoking topical and the art of story telling is the shadow behind the essence of emceeing. Malique and Joe Flizzow have crafted their art since they first started and have gone to become good songwriters/culture movement mogul and respected emcees. They emerged into the scene back in 98 when Malique and Joe Flizzow met online and battle it out with rhymes. The love for the music brought them together and bridged the gap.
Hate it or love it but the truth always comes back to display the reality and the lie here is that many parties feel Too Phat dont deserve where they are at the moment. Both, Malique and Joe are visionaries who grew up to the culture that they adopted from a very young age. They brought it from almost an invisible landmark to a strong hold where many others had their chance to bring forward their self-created musicals. Groups like Naughtius Maximus, Phlowtron, Teh Tarik Crew, Ruffedge, V.E, Da Joint, M.O.B, Ahli Fikir, All Starz Division, Liyana Lil Boogie, Quatazn, Muchachaz, Reefa, Urban Exchange and KLG Sqwad from the hip hop foundation have got their shot working with the duo before they became well-known names. The urban legend stars never forgot where they came from and the people they elevated with through out the golden era of Malaysian hip hop back in the 90s.
Then, they went on working with bigger artiste like Sharifah Aini, Datin Yusni Hamid, Yasin, Camelia and Innuendo locally and the highly spoke about international collaboration with west coast veteran rapper, Warren G.
The journey was bitter and sweet but they traveled it to find what the last exit had to offer and the price was something they could not neglect. Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines and Brunei treat these gentlemens like superstars in their countries. They do tours and make appearances for shows like icons but they just playing their game right. No one ever pictured two young boys from Muar and Subang would take it that far ahead of the game. With a strong team of producers like Illegal, G-Soul, Haze, Eka, Damian Shortysoul, D - Navigator and Tripdisz, they have successfully recorded and presented listeners three full albums with two platinum releases and executive produced their own compilation "Phat Family".
But after 6 years of being in the music industry, Too Phat is finally found their destination- world domination. Its time for their rebirth as the reality is here to speak its lingo.
Never will they fade away from the culture, Too Phat is hip hop to who they are.
