A&R select is a scam
I want to save all you musicians and artists the headache of dealing with these people.

Ok here's the deal!! A&R Select is a total scam... Go to their website and their MySpace and you will see a bunch of manufactured crap about what they will do for you. Anyone who has done anything in this industry will tell you that if you have to pay for anything up front it's a scam and a joke. I confronted A&R Select about this and they became very hostile and abruptly ended the conversation, I have not heard from the since. Does this sound like the behavior of a company on the up and up? All the feedback on their web page and MySpace is all B.S. you can contact their "artists" all you want and they will tell you how great they are but has anyone ever stopped to think that these are fake profiles set up by A&R to intice you? Much like the positive feedback people have left on this forum (it's abviously writen by someone inside the company) You can do whatever you want with your money but if you are going to throw it away like that why don't you just give it to me?* * * * * * * * *
A&R Select is a cleaver scam. I was contacted by A&R Select two weeks ago. I was dumb enough to send $399.00 All they guarantee is that they will write you a bio. Their false claim is that they will send your music to the record labels they have listed, some of which include: ASCAP, BMI, Def Jam, eE, Maverick, Universal music corp., Reprise Records, and WB Records to name a few. I did a little dirty work here and decided to contact these record companies. I called ASCAP and talked to one of their reps. He told me that he had never heard of A&R Select and when I gave him their website address (http://www.arselect.com) he let out a deep breath and said "it does appear that we are listed as one of their business associates". Then he said that his company will look into this. Then I decided to call up BMI. They told me that they work with thousands of companies but have never heard of A&R Select. Then I called Reprise Records. The man on the phone sounded like he was in a hurry. He told me that he had never heard of A&R Select but that he deals with thousands of companies. Then he pretty much closed the conversation with I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do to help you. Good bye. That's it! You decide if A&R Select is a legitimate company. Do the dirty work! Find all the numbers to these record companies and ask them if they work with A&R Select. The more people who call in, the better. I claimed fraud on my credit card already because I know A&R Select won't guarantee me anything other than a stupid bio because no one I've talked to has ever heard of A&R Select. The question you must ask yourself is "Am I willing to pay a company with no reputation to write my bio?"

* * * * * * * * *Plus, because I really got pissed (But I got my money back) they have my name on their website, but it says " Assume Celebrity Axel Samano" that makes me really proud! because now they know I don't give a crap and of course they really got pissed too! ja! So, what "kind" of serious agency would do something like that? Wake up people and Do not sign, I am tellin' ya'.

When I got enough money I started my new life, then I got a computer and I was investigating and learning about midi, I created some samples, but I was not too happy with that. So, again I tried to get a Rock Band "Liberat" they were playing Rock, gothic, metal... And Again I quit... the reason? - They could see only to the end of their noise, they were making music to play in bars, while I was thinking to play in Russia! -
