Ivan Alvarez aka ivito has been blazing mics for a while now. He was born in spain , but moved to new jersey when he was 3. he would go back to spain every summer and there was a reason for that. His spanish counterparts were really making it big in europe with there new spanish rap style. yes to us in the usa spanish rap and reggeaton is a new phenomenon, but for ivito he has been accustomed to it since the early 90's. he knew that was the path he wanted to follow. what the ill thing is, is that ivito mixes his perfectly spoke spanish with his english spit game which gives him a delivery and sound that is different, fresh and very marketable. Ivito and his boys put together man empire entertainment in 2003 in memory of a fallen family member.(R.I.P MAN MAN). since the start of there label they have put out bangin mixtapes that have been labeled classics on the streets of south jerz and endlessly promoted ivito's album the intermission due to drop fall of 06.Dropping singles here and there plus working the mixtape circuit he is determined to get his music out there and achieve his goals in 06. By doing calloborations with some of the industry's best like capone formerly from capone&noreaga and being featured in magazines like backpocket a branch of never2funky.com alongwith getting radio spins on 103.3 princeton radio i would say ivito has a good start, but still has major work to do. listen to the tracks he has posted and enjoy thats just a little taste of the album coming
