ZOE MAFIA

Once you hear that little phrase you know its non other than them ZM boys, ZM is short for Zoe Mafia.
The group consists of members: J-Black, Choppa Zoe, and Platinum Dice (R.I.P Gutta Black) They have all been friends and have been keen of rap for a long time now.

History

The movement started in 1998 when Emmanuel (Choppa Zoe) moved from Homestead, Fl to Immokalee, FL home of NFL superstar player Edgerrin James. There Choppa zoe met Danny (Platinum Dice) in the 5th Grade and later became good friends. Together they started the movement of Zoe Mafia.

Members history

Every member have lived in Immokalee all their life. There Gary aka Gutta Black (R.I.P.) a young man with passion for music decided to join the group b. He became the third member. Johnny(Young Evol) followed after becoming the 4th member and lastly Jannot (J-Black). There you have the Zoe Mafia Boyz, One of the Best Rap Movement in the 239.

Obstacles

When people hear the name Zoe in our community they are frightened because they associate the Zoe Mafia with Zoe Pound, an infamous Haitian gang in Miami. Ignorant people refer to us as menaces to society, due to minor interference we’ve had with the law, but we’re just a rap group trying to advance. We have minor trouble with the collier county police department. They believe Zoe Mafia group to be a gang also. Due to their belief we are constantly watched and harassed. They try their best advancing despite such obstacles. Zoe Mafia is only a Rap Group movement, not a gang. Just because all the members had minor trouble with the law, they are not gang members.

Experience

They have performed at various talents shows, Pep Rallies, and have also had a few club appearances. They linked with the Jeanty Project, owned by Pierre Alex Jeanty, striving to get exposure.
Zoe Mafia will be the next hottest group coming outta the south, trust that! Getting a deal is all they ever think about when they step into their in-house studio to lay down tracks. They have turned down a few deals because they felt that they were worth more than what was being offered. This group doesn't have a genre, so you cant put them in any specific category, because: crunk, R&B, & gangsta rap are all jam packed into this one group known as Zoe Mafia.
