About Me

I really love life, and all that it has to offer. I've had some experiences that have definitely impacted how I view the world and the people in it. Overall though, I always look to see the beauty in everything and everyone...even when it's difficult to do so. I've been known to be very giving and very forgiving, but I can also be a stubborn Kraut! I am extremely loyal, and pretty much wear my heart on my sleeve. I don't particularly enjoy the company of fake or two-faced people...decide who you are and what you believe, and stick with it! I can be very tomboyish and very feminine at the same time...definitely a two-sided coin...I am big into nature! I love doing things outdoors-just enjoying nature and the wildlife in it. I have a competitive spririt and have always been involved in sports (playing and watching), but also appreciate creativity and artistry in all of its forms. I'm also big on adventure-I will try ALMOST anything once and I don't need much notice to be ready to go!Family and friends are the absolute most important things in my life...everything else comes second!

My Interests

I LOVE mountain biking...it is so much fun! You get to enjoy the outdoors, and you get an unbelieveable adrenaline rush at the same time. Definitely awesome, although wipe-outs can sometimes suck really bad. Hiking and trail running are up there, too. Spending time with family and friends is of the utmost importance! Traveling is another "must" for me - seeing new places and having new experiences. Sometimes it's tough to get away, but I think it's important for all of us to get a break once in a while! I've also been into drawing since I was a kid...unfortunately these days it's tough to find the time.

Music:

I'm very open to music...pretty much all styles.

Movies:

Hmmm....well, my all-time favorite movie is still Dumb and Dumber, and Grumpy Old Men. I'm kinda bad at remembering recent movies I've seen and really, really liked...but to name a few, Wedding Crashers, Meet the Parents, Anchorman, Old School, The Notebook. Dirty Dancing is still the ultimate chic flick...I know, I know...but, "nobody puts baby in the corner."

Television:

I mostly watch Discovery Channel, History Channel, The Learning Channel, and the like...dorky, huh!?! Ha! Well, whatever...I think those channels are awesome! I love Dirty Jobs, Survivor Man...stuff like that.

Books:

I just read The Notebook...AFTER I had seen the movie a few times. Different, but good!

Heroes:

Hmmm...my mom, for one. She's an amazing person and has been a huge inspiration to me over the years.
