Moi dix Mois was created on March 19, (Mana's birthday) 2002.
By Mana-Sama, the ex co-founder of Malice Mizer.
One of the most influential people in Visual Kei
and definitely one of the most popular members of Malice Mizer.
All song arrangments and compositions are created by Mana himself.
Until recently, Mana had been the only real member of Moi dix Mois.
Everyone else was to be considered a "live support member".
Only in winter 2004 the other members considered official.
To start up a new era of Moi dix Mois, K and Seth are now real members too.
While drummer Hayato and bassist Sugiya are still considered live support members.
Moi dix Mois means "me 10 months" in french.
"Me" implies Mana and "10 Months" implies two different meanings...
The number 1 suggesting a beginning and 0 representing invinity.
The second meaning of "10 Months" implies the number of months a child is concieved in its mother's womb.
After those 10 months the child is born and out to create something new in life.

Influences: Since mana grew up with classical music, that is his biggest influence.
Johann Sebastian Bach above all.
Aswell as Motley crue, Iron Maiden, Slayer and ond other black, death metal bands.

Sounds Like: The sound of Moi dix Mois is specificly unique and difficult to categorize it.
It's a unique style, and quite distinguishable from other bands.
All songs carry a classical feel to it no matter the type that is being played.
Lots of classic Mana guitar along with harpsichord and heavy, black/death metal like drums.
Wich combines with gothic instrumentals with a bit of electronica, metal, and classical music.
The songs can vary from being extremely dark metal like to elegant and light.
Basically it can be classed as Sympho-rock/Gothic metal/Neo-classical metal...
witch delivers all its intensity with beauty and sorrow.
Overall Moi dix Mois sound kind of like the direction Malice Mizer were heading in the final days.
Think Beast of Blood or Gensou Rakuen.
Or in manas words : "The darkness as it creeps over the hills and enters your soul The feeling of emptiness in a crowded room, that is moi dix mois."
