Mr. Diamond

About Me

Mr. Diamond vocal range, lyrical style, and unmistakable sound distinguish him from other reggae artists. His Jamaican roots power his creativeness as a singer and songwriter, and influence his musical delivery. Hailing from kingston Jamaica, Mr. Diamond discovered his talents in the local church choir. He further nurtured his talents by performing on a number of stage shows and sound systems where he began to gain a reputation as a vocalist. After travelling to other Countries and Caribbean Islands, he then relocated to Birmingham, England. From then he continued to pursue his singing career. Mr. Diamond musical influences range from Reggae and RnB. His influential artists are Beres Hammond, Sanchez, Wayne Wonder, Luciano and the late Garnett Silk (R.I.P.). He performed on many stage shows held at venues such as: Birmingham Academy, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Drum, Victoria Square, Alexandra Park (Ipswich), Stamford Meadows (Riverside Festival) Handsworth Park (Marcus Garvey Day), Zion Train Reggae, to name a few. He has also shared the stage with such legends as John Holt, Marcia Griffiths, Mighty Diamonds, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Mikey Spice, Big Youth, Freddy McGregor, Taurus Riley, Queen Ifrica, Beenie Man and a host of others. Diamond was also featured on Exposure (Channel I.T.V.) in 2003. In 2004, music producer Joe G's from the Cabbie Record label in England, took notice of the talent that Mr. Diamond has and so they never hesitated on recording him straight away. Together they created a well love track called....I Knew....which was released in 2005. There was also Murry Man from Mellow Vibes Recording Label who had released a smooth cultural track in Europe called... Putting Me Down...which was also released in 2005. Mr. Diamond has travelled back home to Jamaica on different occasions just to record new tracks and to promote his self on a wider scale, because has you know, Jamaica is the mother land for reggae music. Diamond's return to his homeland has been opening new doors to his success and he has been working with some of Jamaica's well known Producers. With so many recordings of new tracks and collaborations with some of Jamaica's main named artist such as Warrior King with ....(music is life)...., Lutan Fyah with....(bad mind) and Cutty Corn with....(warn dem)....,just to name a few. Diamond has never stop delivering great sounds over the airwaves, he's been getting heavy rotation on the major radio stations both in Jamaica and overseas. After hearing these few words from Mr. Diamond, "music is my life, and i want to spread love and happiness through my songs" it shows no doubt that with his positive attitude, he will forever strive to reach his goals pleasing his fans by always giving his best.
