I now how 2 mixtapes availabe for purchase...VA PETE - INDUSTRY ENEMY 1 ANDVA PETE- VERBAL HOMICIDEAnd on another note... most importantly... anybody that wanna do buisness holla at me .........VA Pete better known as Lamont Jamaul Woody, was born into this world on March 31, 1987 in MCV Hospital. As his mom tells it " I always knew he would have a love for music by the way he would jump around in my stomach when music was playing". So to her it was not as big of a suprise when in labor with Pete, there was no time wasted. Before the doctors could even make it to the deliver room out came a baby to this world. Pete was born in Richmond VA, on the eastside of town. NO he was was not born in the projects... but thats where he was raised." I lived right across the street from Fairfield Court... it was real in the field... i remember ducking stray bullets when i was young... especially around 95' thats when Fairfield was beefin with Creighton Court, alot of nigga got killed" he recalls. Pete was reared by his Father Harold Woody Jr. and Mother Rosalind Woody. They did the best they could to raise him but take it from him... he was raised by the streets. " I was wildin' when i was young... i got into all types of trouble... i was a fighter and a comidien plus i was popular... and that just aint mix... ya know". When Pete was in the second grade at Fairfield Court Elementary just minutes before the bell rung in to exit class, the young Pete discovered his love for music and his dream of a future profession. " I know it might sound corny now but while we was all waitin... i got up on the table and rapped the intro of The Fresh Prince of Bel- Air.. and with the attention i got from that one moment i was hooked". With him also realizing that there not a big diffrence between poerty and rap he began to write "rhymes" everydayBy the time he was 10 he had lost his virginity and by 11 years of age he was one foot into the drug game. " When i was like 11 my dad had got laid off from Virgina Power (which is now Dominion) and i wasn't use to not gettin all the thing i use to... so i had a friend that worked with his uncle and that was that... i aint do much... i was somethin like a delivery boy". His parents or best friend Brandon Mayo was never aware of his dealings do to the fact that after Elementary School, Pete was shipped way across town to the West End to attend Albert Hill Middle School. To make things worst Pete's parents had split up as he. his older brother Harold Woody III and his mother relocated to the Churchill area. " Once we moved i was off the chain... i had so much freedom... i was catchin the city bus to school and all. I know i was late almost everyday since the 7th grade goin to school and coming home". But if you ask Pete he will tell you that one of his scariest moments was almost being caught arrestedand expelled from school after in the 8th grade being caught with weed in his book bag and also previuosly sellin a dime bag to two classmates of his. Lamont at this time was also an average chuch goer under Rev. Lance Watson at St. Pauls Baptist Church... and as Lamont describes the moment "I just remember prayin all the way to the principals office" he laughs "I dont know how i got away with that one" At this points he left drugs alone for a while and rekinled his love of rap music with "brother" Jason Valentine. "We would just write raps the entire class period and read them to each other just for competition"After graduating from Middle School he continued his schooling back on his side of town where he attended John F. Kennedy High School which would later be renamed to Armstrong High. By High School "Mont" really figured that he did not like school school, he made bad grades was always tardy and had poor attendance. "I just hated school... i would like to learn but i felt like i did not learn alot... public schools ass... their where so many days where i went home not knowing anything that i did not already know, plus the enviorments was fucked up... it was hard to focus". He says "luckily" he got through grades 9 through 11 by the skin of his teeth. But in 12th grade that unavoidable day occured. The day before graduation he recieved notice that he would not be graduating with his fellow classmates, but determined to make things right and get his diploma he went to Summer School and graduated top of his class. Now and days Lamont is on the Grind with his Heavyweight Family. And still working hard to achieve his self st goal. "i just want people to hear my music most of all. Fuck the money and the deal, i rather have niggas know that im that nigga". Due to the fact that Lamont has no recording deal but owns his own recording studio he's steady making music. He even goes far enough to say that in the year 2006 he recorded a total amount of more that 250 songs. " Yeah man" he says, "I was in between jobs but that was just my grind, thats my mentality. Ever since my third heart surgery in December 04 I beleive, i been so determine. I Promised myself and all my niggas that if i lived i would do this shit non - stop". As far as I can tell he's been doing that ever since. $ I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts! Myspace Graphics
