A life of music is the story of John "SPIDERMAN" LaRosa aka LA.
In the basement of his neighbor’s house, LA was introduced to his
first hands on experience with music as he sat behind a drum set
at the age of 3. A love for music was all LA knew from that day on,
a passion that he found could not be replaced by anything else.
He came to the realization that his zeal was more than just ordinary
as he listened to music in a different light.
As time passed, LA began to understand that music was his true calling
and throughout his schooling he enrolled in all of the music classes
that had been offered. As he gained knowledge and more
appreciation for the art of music, LA formed his first band upon
beginning his teenage years at age 13 and to this very day
has continued playing. At age 17, he began to develop a
sense of what his defined role in the music game would be as
he researched the occupation of an audio engineer and life within
the studio. A year later, LA went on to attend school at A.R.T.I. for
engineering and by the age of 21, he began educating as a teacher,
instructing others on the theory of sound, consoles, outboard gear,
recording, mixing and audio software. LA currently represents
A.R.T.I on the Professional Academic Committee.
LA also holds the position as partner and head engineer for Headlinas,
working with artists such as Plies, B.O.B., Smitty, Yung Joc, Stat Quo,
NAZ, and the whole RnGz / Headlinas fam. LA knows and believes
in the name Headlinas as his vision of the company is to become
an empire.
