Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

About Me

I am an actress, singer, and teacher. I have lived in Boston (Graduate School), Chicago, New York (7 years), Lake Tahoe, and finally came back home to Texas. I have had so many advertures in my life and would not trade any one of them! My experiences have made me a very diverse human being who has the ability to look through someone else's eyes. I am compassionate to a fault, and loyal to the core. I have a dreamer's heart and an artistic soul. My philosophy is: The highest place you can be in this life is to live independently of other people's good or bad opinion of you......View/Background --Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Emerald Bay from the North ShoreLet me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove: O no! it is an ever-fixed mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star to every wandering bark, Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken. Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle's compass come: Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom. If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved. William ShakespeareMyspace Backgrounds

My Interests

Art, Music and Theatre are top favorites.

Music:

I have very diverse taste in music. The only genre of music that is unappealing and does not connect with me is heavy metal. Music is all about the lyrics for me, and I have yet to understand one lyric in any heavy metal song I have ever heard. "Could someone download those lyrics for me, thanks!" Some of my favorite artists whom I greatly admire for their soulful lyrical style are Enya, Sarah Mclauhlan, Billie Holiday, Billy Joel (New York State of Mind), Elton John, Tori Amos (she's a little crazy, but still fasinated by her lyrics), Bread. My favorite period is the 70's...cheesy I know, but I still love it just the same. Favorite song from the 70's "Sister Golden Hair Surprise"...ya know...."Ohhh, I keep on thinkin' bout you sister golden hair surprise.....

Movies:

Two top favorites are The English Patient (Will you marry me Ralph Fines????)and Out of Africa. Both looong epics with hopeless romantic themes. I love comedies as well, everyone needs some bubble gum for the brain now and then. I don't really care for films with lots of graphic violence. I'm not allowed to watch scary movies, especially devil, "dameon" oriented stuff, NO WAY...I have enough trouble sleeping at night as it is....

Television:

Who has time to watch TV? I occasionally get into a TV show and will specifically turn it on at that time. I get horribly irritated with the chitter chatter of a TV when no one is watching it. I would much rather listen to music for "white noise" rather than the TV. Not that you asked that.....anyway

Books:

I love to read books that further my knowledge on a specific subject. You will usually find me reading something enlightening and warming to the heart, soul and spirit.

Heroes:

I love Lucille Ball and Bette Midler. Why? Because they both refused to be told no when they did not fit the Hollywood mold, instead they just made their own mold.
