Big Squeak was born LaDondris Chapman on October 6, 1976, in Oceanside (San Bernardino), CA. Living on military base in California, he later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 80’s. Moving from neighborhood to neighborhood, he later settled in the Evanston neighborhood. By the age of 12, he started performing in different neighborhoods throughout Cincinnati to build up his style and skill. Now he specializes in Rap, Hip-Hop, Gangsta Rap, and Reggae & Dancehall. Like many young men, he found solace amidst the poverty and ruin of his community through ghetto poetry and the work of rappers like Rakim and Slick Rick. The structured environment is a hindrance to his developing talent for rhyming.
This multi-talented rapper/songwriter/performer has always shown hard work ethics, determination and dedication in the past, and he continues to now as he is currently in the studio night and day, writing and recording. His mom & kids and also those who believe Hip-Hop is Dead continue to be his drive to become a success. “I feel I can keep it alive and going! My look, my style and my ways to move a crowd, plus the many sounds I can come up with in the booth just using my vocals alone set me apart I believe. Along side of my lyrics; it’s just something that’s in me; it comes natural to me!†Also, the ability to write his own songs and put on good performances sets him apart as well!
Living in a city where it went from conservative to corrupt, from street fights to police killings. He’s chose to stick to his music because it allows him to express himself along with the deep feelings that he has regarding the changes in his life. With his many different styles, he looks to take the hip hop world by the collar. In which in plans on introducing the Cincinnati hip hop scene, B. West Productions & HoodStar ENT. to the world.
