About Me

Lisa Torch has lived quite a few "lives"....Ballerina (with Pacific Northwest Ballet and Eliot Feld), NYC scene queen, dance club music diva, MBA, venture capitalist, fashion publicist and SONGWRITER. She is probably best known for her Top 30 dance single, Wild Child. Since then, however, she has never stopped writing, and has penned over 350 tunes in the pop, country, alternative and folk genres. She is currently writing for several country and pop artists, and her songs have been licensed for use in two television pilots for the Fall 08 season.This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? using original artwork by Marah Johnson. Band Members: Right now...just me, myself and I. But of course, Al "The Chief", has been my primary collaborator in music and in life since 1983. Some past band members, co-writers, session players have included Billy "Maxx Volume" Hoey, Pete "Peat Moss" Torcicollo, Phil "philly B" Bono, Dave "My Good Eye" Brodsky, Phil Antonucci, Bobby "Blades" Popper, Paul "p2" Posner, Mitch Markowitz, Bob Gallo, and tons more.
Influences: Contemporary heroes: Sheryl Crow, Kristen Hall, Kristian Bush, Sarah McLachlan, Phil Vassar, Jennifer Nettles, Lori McKenna, Patty Griffin and Linda Perry and BRUCE!!!! - Amazing, inspiring songwriters, all!!!!)

I listen to pretty much all genres today, and I have a new-found love of contemporary Country music, and so I am writing a lot of songs in that mode now. Artists I would love to write for/with?? Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Shannon Brown, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans, Jessica Andrews, The Wreckers and LeAnn Rimes.I also LOVE rock and alternative, and I am a huge fan of Antigone Rising, The Fray, The Goo Goo Dolls, Foo Fighters, and tons more.
