About Me

i am a graduate student in Kansas City with only a couple of months remaining. In roughly six months i will move across the pond to Scotland and attend the University of Edinburgh. Four years from now, hopefully with two masters degrees and a PhD, i hope to begin teaching. My academic interest is somewhat two-fold. My first interest systematic theology and all that it entails; however, i have a particular interest in the work of Karl Barth. My secondary interest involves a perpetual "critiquing" of Christianity. This often rears its ugly head at mostly inopportune times among far too conservative people. These two interests are where i find myself most often, but i also have a current fascination with Jacques Derrida, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Goethe. Away from all of that mostly boring drivel, i'll talk to anyone about damn near anything, so if you have a question about me, or, for that matter, anything, feel free to ask. If i don't know, i'm not too proud to admit it.
