I'm just a girl who loves music!!! It started at birth, my grandmother was a saxophone player. She played in an all girl saxophone band at the age of 14 in 1921. Her stories always reminded me of "Some Like It Hot". Her sister played piano. My father always loved music, jazz in particular. In his teenage years he would hitch hike to dowtown Los Angeles to see his favorite players and hang out in the record stores listening to the newest cool stuff. Some of these guys came to play pool with my dad at our house when I was young. My mother started working in radio right out of high school and hung with the big band guys. So I started out life with lots of music around me. One day in my early youth I ditched school with a couple of my "older" friends and we hitched to Hollywood. In that one day I met some famous rockers and ended up at the Record Plant. It was all downhill from there! I got my first job - dancing in a cage at the Whiskey - saw Jimi play and my life was changed. I managed a couple bands, worked at almost all the record companies, promotion, publicity, A&R, publishing, did make-up and styling for photographers, worked as an assistant recording engineer and mixed live sound.
