Hiking and Travelling. I just got back from spending a month and a bit in Nepal, where I did the Everest Base Camp hike, and the Annapourna Sanctuary. After that, I spent the rest of the summer surfing in Bali, and relaxing in Thailand. I've actually managed to become a half decent surfer this summer, amazingly enough. I'm also a photo junkie, and take way to may pictures while on vacation.p.s. if anyone is even thinking about going to Nepal... this is the man to see: http://www.independent-trekkingguide-nepal.com/

Okay, here's where I geek out a touch. I love that new Battlestar Galactica show. Other than that, I'm a discovery channel junkie, and reigning king of the documentary.
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Very cool book - I know, I know, that Objectivist philosophy is a bit much for some people, but I liked it.One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch (by Alexander Solzhenitsyn). One of the best stories I've ever read (admitedly not for what actually happens). The Origins of Virtue: Human Instincts and the Evolution of Cooperation (by Matt Ridley). Describes how human moral sentiment could have developed through evolution. Basically, it'll satisfy the science geek in you about why you like to do nice things for peopl;e.
