About Me

Originally from Philadelphia, Ryan began playing electric bass at the age of 14 after spending a handful of years playing percussion. By the age of 16, she began frequenting various blues jams in the Philadelphia area and in the process, met and jammed with some of the city’s greatest players. After graduating high school in 2005, Ryan moved to New York City to attend New York University’s Music Business Program and soon got the opportunity to play at some of New York’s landmark venues such as CBGBs, The Bitter End, The Knitting Factory, and Webster Hall with an alternative rock trio, Below Carmine.Ryan has recently graduated NYU’s Music Business program with a Bachelors of Music and has returned to Philadelphia to pursue playing music. In addition to playing with artists such as Don Evans, Dallin Applebaum, and Gypsy Joe Alves, she writes original singer-songwriter material as a member of The Five Foot Club, an acoustic-electric duo based in New York.
