Raised in Washington, D.C., Albert spent the majority of his youth listening to his grandmother playing old school spirituals on the organ, for her weekly Home-Church-Services. At such a young age, this exposure to the true feeling of the blues, would play a big part in his influences later-on, when jazz was first introduced to him. Music became a huge part of Albert's life after being accepted into Duke Ellington of School for the Performing Arts in 1995.Through his experiences in Jazz Performance/Education, Albert has been fortunate enough to have traveled most of the world, an shared the stage with a number of World-Renowned Performers. Such as:Wynton Marsalis, Ed Thigpen, Sean Jones, Jimmy Owens, Yazarah, and Tito Allen, just to name a few.
