STARBOARD SILENT SIDE IN THE FRENCH MUSIC REFERENCE MAGAZINE
STARBOARD SILENT SIDE "You need verses my galak sea"
La voix scotchante d'un homme qui aurait repêché Jeff Buckley, un folk
rock ample et lyrique : ce groupe nomade et hanté risque de faire très mal en 2009.
Premier extrait d'un album très attendu.

Starboard Silent Side ... Starboard Silent Side ... Starboard Silent Side ...
Pronounce their name three times slowly and you will hear the hissing of the gale, the flight of ghosts, singing whales, the relentless to-ing and fro-ing of waves ... all this rustle trapped in our dreams that reminds us every night how haunting silence can be.
The sound is spare but spacious, twangy and wild like a night blue void upon a crimson sky. The patina of age has coated their instruments and a torchlight illuminates the stage.
Five troubadours, five nomads five long-standing friends stand like tall shadows before their fate.
The voice sounds fragile yet pure and powerful. The violin seems possessed by the art of turning melancholy into faith while the gentle drums, the light guitars and the doublebass subtly orchestrate the birth of a voyage.
Leading the way, the poisonous lyrics tear at our hearts as if to emphasize our need to exist.
Because these five men truely suffer from an uncurable wanderlust, because freedom is as fickle as silence but above all because their music is an invitation to the journey.
"Our music is our eternity"
