Get Your Own Voice Player ManageRSL started off as the group Mixed Emotionz in 2004. Region, Shy-Boy, and LB met each other in 1994 in Van Nuys, California. Consisting of two Mexicans (Region and Shy-Boy) and one Guatemalan (LB) they pursued their passion for the music and grew determined to promote the group as the next up and coming secret.
In order to make a name for themselves they began to perform at Quinceaneras which helped them raise enough money to press up a couple thousand mix tapes. Their debut CD entitled Mix Hop Vol. 1 created a buzz while they continued to hustle on the streets for a year and a half.
In September of 2005, they performed at a Quinceanera in South Gate, California where they happened to meet a producer, Ponch. At that point everything began to fall into place for the group while working as Mixed Emotionz on the English and Spanish side of the music. Producer Ponch advised them that the Spanish side of the music would create better opportunities. From that point on the transition from Mixed Emotionz to RSL began. With the guidance of Ponch and co-writer Clever they have brought a unique style for the groups success.
