A&S The rapper, poet, novelist, a complete artist is more than just a southern hip hopper that was influenced by the grungy sounds of wu tang, miles davis's trumpet , Common's 16's, the streets of his hood. and Cornel West philosophies. A&S, AShville, Ash the Scholar, Ash Just shut the F up!!!! is a proud native of Statesville North carolina where he began rapping under the street lights hanging with the hustlers of his neighborhood Park Drive, when he was around 12. With in the next year he became connected with Past Tense (wuz) Knowledge Born (John John) and Cort Brown, thats when the final Four was born. Everyday after school consisted of the latest hip hop records of the time such as: Wu, Mobb Deep ,Common,NAS, JAY Z, Tribe Called Quest, De LA Soul, the list goes on and on. "WE use to have Ciphas for hours. The Final Four Team would sneak and read John John pops books a lot of Malaki York and 5% knowledge, then absorb that knowledge combine it with things they would see growing up in a still segregated south. "We would spend hours and hours freestyling". From the first time that Ash (as all his fam calls him) was introduce to art of 2 turntables and a mic, the culture that has reshaped not only music in Amerika but the culture of Amerika he knew that not rap but hip- hop was a part of who he is and will always be.
