Mission to the Sea

About Me

Decker Sachse records and performs under the name Mission to the Sea. Mission to the Sea's sound could be categorized as folk, sometimes infused with jazz and latin tones, adrift somewhere between the dreamy, intimate feel of Joao Gilberto and Hope Sandoval. Mission to the Sea is currently based in Dallas, Texas, nowhere near the ocean.Click here to buy Mission to the Sea's new songs on iTunes: Video by Scotty Griffith

Spry flamenco notes add brightness and complexity while mellow bass and beats add a subtle but plush texture. Their efforts result in articulate but intimate tunes, as worthy of play in downtown night owl digs as they are in sunny beach huts by the Cape ..."
