I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. When I was twelve years old my family moved to Hawaii, where I spent his teenage years. While taking a required course as a graphic design major in college in Honolulu, I had my first experience with a SLR camera. Not only was it love at first sight, but a sign that photography was to be my destiny. Later I spent the next 2 years working as a part time tour-guide in Hawaii, to save for tuition to art school. In addition, I had to convince my Chinese parents to allow him to pursue an education in photography. I was successful in both pursuits and graduated from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco with a BFA degree.
