This self-taught seasoned professional was born in Paterson, NJ. 1962 with family roots from Adjuntas Puerto Rico. At age 9 began to play the guitar at home, while taking music theory & trumpet classes in grammar school. He then switched to saxophone and played for the Eastside High School marching band. At age 11, he was already playing Bass guitar in a latin contemporary gospel group called "Los Celps" at church. During this period, he learned to play the organ and piano at the church he attended. At 14 years old he was playing a Fender Rhodes electric piano with another contemporary christian band called "A Touch of God". Then, moved to Puerto Rico and lived whith grandparents and continued High School where he joined the school band and played piano. Having made friends with the music teacher Mark Sotherberg a trombone player for "La Terrifica" a well known latin orchestra at the time, asked me to join a local latin orchestra called "La Gigante" which was the only latin orchestra in the town of Adjuntas where I lived. I was 15 at the time playing piano, opening up for latin recording artists such as Roberto Roena, Johnny el Bravo, Papa Candito and others. I Played piano with Papa Candito's band one night aswell. At the time, getting paid for something that I loved gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams. A year and a half later, moved back to New Jersey and re-joined "A Touch of God" and recorded our first album with an indie label with hit song "Yo Se Que Hay Un Dios". We toured Venezuela and United States and was asked to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City at age 17. This gave me a taste of the big stage, as I played my Fender Rhodes and Moog Prodigy synth. The young boys dream had become a reality having experienced so much during his teenage years. Joining other Latin bands such as Conjunto Antillas, Gerard y los Magnificos during my 20's gave me the opportunity to play the music I love so much, Salsa and latin jazz. In the late 80's formed a group with bassist friend Alfredo Vega called amigos, which became the backup band for the former Island recording artist Daniel Ponce a latin jazz percussionist that had recorded on Herbie Hancock's smash hit "Rock It" album. Later that same band became the latin pop group "Chackras" by early 90's we had recorded and released an album titled "Chackras" "Yego" with the Taurus Record label. With much success and exposure through the Telemundo & Univision televison media, we managed to have hit songs like "Ache" and others on the radio. In early 90's received a call to join the latin orchestra "La Progressiva" which already had hit songs like "La Rumba The San Martin" on the charts, and a few albums under their belt already. Playing salsa with a 13 piece orchestra was a dream come true. Then, for legal reasons the orchestra's name was changed to "Elemento 10" when signed by Polygram Latino for a record deal. A new album was released in 1995 produced and arranged by Isidro Infante and became a huge success topping the charts with hits like: "Calientame, La Negrita" and others. We toured Europe several times, and the United States. Sponsors like Budweiser & Univisoin and others was the norm. Performing large club venues like the Copacabana in New York and others were frequent. We won the Radio Musica award in California for best new Latin Band of the year and for being on the charts consistently. We were at the top of the game sharing the stage with the best of the best in the latin music scene. Sharing the stage with artist such as: Johnny Pacheco, Ray Barreto, Pete "el' Conde, Frankie Ruiz, Oro Solido, Hector Tricoche, Tito Nieves, Joe Cuba to name a few. Noel has appeared in Music Videos with Frankie Ruiz, Angel Lopez, Elemento 10. Television shows: Sabado Gigante, Control, and Show de Mediodia. In 1997 Noel moves to Florida for a long awaited break. Also worked with female vocalist Gwen Mc Crae with hit song "Rocking Chair". Later on received a call from Grammy Award nomenee latin Jazz flutist Nestor Torres for a gig in Grenada and of-course I took the gig. Once worked as Stevie Wonder's keyboard tech aswell.
