Don't Forget To Hit That Comment Button At The Bottom And Holler :D
CURRENT SITUATION -Well I took some time off this year from my studies, producing and recording to travel, and what better place to go than INDONESIA. Its been over 10 years since I've set foot on this country that I was born in, and what a great feeling it is to be back. I finally got the chance to meet with families I never knew I had, though I'm finding it difficult to adjust to this culture. Cuz I lived in UK for over 10 years, my views and mentality is completely different that your average indonesian.
I've travelled mostly in Java and I have seen the most beautiful sights, truely inspiring landscapes and breath taking views.
Still learning the language though, I know it sounds pretty ridiculous, an Indonesian who doesn't know how to speak his own language. I know just a little bit :DIf you see me on the streets, don't be shy and come and say hi.
Forgive me if I don't recognise you, my eyes are still untrained.
Every Indonesian girl is as beautiful as the next one, still hard for me to tell them apart haha :P
Music Is A Passion For Me, It's My Hobbie, Im Just Doing This For Fun.
I'm Not Breaking My Neck Passing Out CDs To Record Labels To Get Scooped Up Or Anything Like That.
I Do What I Do, I Speak What I'm Thinking, I Lay Down What I Feel Inside.
Music Is A Part Of My Life And It Will Always Be A Part Of My Life.
As My Life Goes On, My Influences, My surroundings, What I Consider Important To Me Will Change, And So Will My Sound.
My Attitudes, Thoughts, And Perspectives On Things Will Change, So Will My Music.
If You Like My Music, Thats Great, If You Don't Like It, Its Kool With Me.
This Is My Sound, This Is My Life, My This Is My Self Expression.
This Is My Music. ENJOY! :D

www.rnb-dvotion.voice.toPERSONAL BACKGROUND -Paramartha "MC CALAMITY" Narendradhipa was born in the city of Bandung in Indonesia. He moved to England at the age of 8, to Sheffield. He was raised in Pitsmoor/Burngreave, a community which has been described as "economically and socially deprived", where drugs, crime, guns, violence, and anti-social behaviour are common factors in everyday life."I was born in the far east, raised in the far west/
raised in the hood where you need bullet proof vest" - C-A-L-A-M-I-T-YGrowing up, his neighbourhood taught him that respect is gained through others fearing you, social status is acquired through an individual's "gangster" reputation (where crime and drugs will elevate an individual's status), and street fights. He embraced this lifestyle to fit in with his peers, adapting to their walk, talk, music, culture, styles and attitudes.Break Dancing, Graffiti and Music, especially rapping is one of the few respected form of expression, where mic skill will gain you respect."Im the type that speak my mind, call me an artist/
Keep it real, cuz Hip Hop is where the heart is" - C-A-L-A-M-I-T-Y "Yo back in the days beat boxing in the streets/
Even dance master can't keep up with this beat" - SKY HIGH Many youths chose the path of crime and drugs, because it elevates their social status and its an easy way to get money.
But instead MC Calamity chose Music and Sports to be his outlet for his energy and creativity, thus this kept him out of trouble with the law."Survived all these years, kept myself outta trouble/
Made money from CDs, the low-key hustle" - C-A-L-A-M-I-T-Y
MUSICAL BACKGROUND -His mother made him go to piano classes since the age of 5, which were extremely expensive back in Indonesia, but this built him a strong classical musical background.
He first tried out music production from the age 10, using Dance eJay, a simple drag and drop music sample sequencer, then moving on to using Cubase to produce Hip Hop and Rap tracks. He took up instrumental lessons in guitar and drum kit to broaden his musical abilities, with the drum kit being most helpful in his music composition. It's not until the age of 13 when he began to write his own songs and rap, because some one said to him "You have a very distinctive voice, like DMX, you should rap or something."His first self writen song was for a class project on musicals, where he decided to rap about a play about gangsters. As an amateur rapper, he decided to write his own material, he managed to write 5 pages of lyrics in the span of just a few hours. He decided to concentrate more on his song-writing and rapping, with the prospect of getting an album out.He has been winning fan's respect with his distinctive gravel throated deep voice, catchy hooks and chorus. He also touched the heart of many with his smooth style and lyrical flow.
His music reflects both his mind and his heart, dropping off hot hip-hop tracks as well as some easy smooth RnB tracks, all filled with thoughts, feelings and emotions. He chose the name CALAMITY because no one believed in him. They all thought that he was going to be a musical disaster on his debut major public performance @ the URBAN SOUNDS 2004 SHOW CASE EVENT FOR SHEFFIELDS BEST YOUNG MUSICIAN.
But this lack of faith only made him stronger and more determined to succeed and develop.
He released his 1st Promo Album, "Disaster After Another" back in 2005, and his 2nd Promo Album, "Heart II Heart" in 2006 to see which album got the better response from people. Surpisingly it was the smooth album "Heart II Heart", an album which was leaning more towards RnB than Hip Hop which had the better response.
So he decided that the future is in a new type of music with blends elements of Hip Hop, Rnb And Soul. Hip Hop deliverance, RnB Instrumental/Beats and Soulful lyrics. Along with this, a new target of listeners, mainly Girls/Ladies/Women.
The Hit Single "Lets Get It On Tonight", which featured his singer/rapper/producer friend JileStar and samples from
Marvin Gaye and Aaliyah, was a favourite amongs the fans.In 2006 he changed his stage name from "MC CALAMITY" to "RNB D'VOTION". The reason for the change is that having "MC" in his stage name, limited him only to Rap and Hip Hop. While the RNB in "RNB D'VOTION" implies both the music of RnB and what his stage name actually stands for, "Real and Bonafied Devotion". A music of Devotion to everything from life to love.
How come they say that there are no Girls, Ladies or Women.
Only Bitches and Hoes..
How come they say that there are no Romancers, Gentleman and Lovers.
Only Pimps and Players.
I Gotta Put This World Right....,
"HEART II HEART" Restoring the Word MAN back into GENTLEMANReal Love x
