About Me
MY NAME IS DRACO ALEXANDER. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on Jan. 7th, 1980, at 9:32 am. I am a Capricorn Sun, a Virgo Moon, and and an Aquarious Rising. I have lived in several different states, but mostly in Arizona. I learned to swim before I learned to walk. I began learning magic when I was five. I began to study martial arts when I was 6, and tarot cards, and drumming at 16. I was raised Presbyterian Christian, but in high school I began to study philosophy, and became an agnostic. In 1999, I attended Jeff McBride's Mystery School, at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, in Riverdale, NY. I arrived as a naive agnostic, and left three days later as a confident Pagan.I moved to Las Vegas in 1999, and within about 3 months, I was multi tasking like crazy. I was attending The University of Nevada Las Vegas full time, I was training in mixed martial arts, and I was performing close-up magic nightly at Caesar's Magical Empire, in Caesar's Palace.In 2000, I attended my first all night Alchemical fire, and was reborn to the Sun. I knew then that this was what I was born to be part of. This began an incredible relationship with my magic teachers, Jeff McBride, and Eugene Burger. In 2002, I began studying improvisational comedy theater with the Las Vegas group, "The Second City". I was soon improvising with Jason Sudeikis, Who is now a featured actor on Saturday Night Live. In 2003, I recieved my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor degree in Sociology from UNLV. My primary academic focus is psycholinguistics. In August of that year, I moved back home to be closer to family. I understand how important family can be. On Oct. 14, 2004, I placed my glance upon my Beloved Julia, and the rest is history...MY LIFE KEEPS ME PRETTY BUSY, MOST OF THE TIME. So what do I spend my time doing? I suppose when I stop to examine my various interests, they all seem to fall into one of three categories: Mind, Body, Spirit, or alchemically, Salt, Sulphur, and Mercury.
Let's start with Body, or Salt. Magic is my passion in life. I enjoy anything which I think is magical. In my professional magic act, I try to incorporate many different types of performance art, and theatrical disciplines, to create a well-rounded, textured, show, for the audience. I practice flairtending, (Bottle Spinning), Poi spinning, three-ball juggling, Contact juggling with acryllic balls, and I love to dance. Especially around the Fire Circle. Also included in the Body section, might be my life long relationship with various mixed martial arts, including Yoshuki, Aikido, Ninjitsu, and other grappling styles. Over the last two years, I have transformed my body through cardio, weightlifting, and nutrition. I make it to the gym about three times a week, along side my beloved Julia, and my bestfriend Daniel, who has been my siamese-twin, connected at the mind, Since I was about 5 years old.WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT INTEREST CATEGORY, The Mind, or Sulphur. My interests of the mind come from my passion for language, spoken word poetry, and mind reading. I love to read, especially nonfiction. Just about any book philosophical in nature, magically oriented, alchemical, or geared for enlightenment, I want to read. I also study psycholinguistics, and Neurolinguistic programming, (NLP).Spoken word poetry, which is poetry performed, not recited, falls into two categories, mind and spirit. I love the manipulation of the word, stirred, until it becomes blurred, and the mind opens up, and the word can be heard. And lives can be uprisen, with rhythm, rythmic division, spittin' my lyrics and splittin' your ear drums. Listen, and glisten, like solar beams, from the Sun, uprisen. Gods come a long way from places of divine intention, just to bang the gong, A divine intervention, while witches cackle their love songs at the Moon, soon the night will let em all fucking hear it, BOOM!. Mother and father will spoon, light fills the room, consumed with their love and our unlimited spirit.Which naturally brings us to the third area of my interests, Spirit, or Mercury. Specifically, I study Shamanic Alchemy. ALCHEMY IS THE ART OF TRANSFORMATION, using the fire to bring about purification of the soul, and union with the divine spirit, or Goddess. Shamanism is a theatrical, ritualized healing practice, and Earth based religion, which views the Universe as One, without separation. It sees the divine in nature, and nature in the divine. My faith honors women as the divine feminine, and empowers them to become their highest visions, or the goddesses women already know that they are. The women honor the men in the same light. This is not just a faith practice to me. It is my tao, my way of life. Namaste.
