A complete artist... A modern-day renaissance man. Growing up, Gyasi Omari (pronounced JAY-see Omari) was only interested in fashion design and the visual arts, whether it was drawing, painting, or sculpture. Raised by a Jamaican mother, much attention was given to music and fashion in his home. Gyasi grew up inspired by fashion lines such as Tommy Hilfiger and Fubu, while taking in the music of artists like Mase and Jay-Z. His original plan was to design a line of refined urban clothing self titled Gyasi Omari, styled after his unique personal fashion. However, his passion slowly took the backburner when a high school friend sparked his love for another form of artistic expression; Music. At 16 he tried his hand at recording and got it right on the first try. Driven by his new passion Gyasi spent his time writing rap after rap and at 17, Gyasi mastered the MPC 1000, producing his own beats. Now at 21, Gyasi Omari is the new generation of rap artist, mixing his chill, infectious rhymes with catchy hooks, keeping his content 100% real.
