.Clowns and Fetuses: The True Facts On November 3, 1947, the Circo de Muerte Horrible rolled in from the Basque hinterlands to the tiny Sicilian village of Naropa. Three days later, during the climax of the amputee high wire electrcution, a cataclysmic explosion shook the small community. Fingers pointed at the homeless clowns, who made no secret of their Basque separatist leanings. After a mockery of a trial, the clowns were imprisoned in the clandestine storage utility tunnels of the towns Population Control Clinic, whose very existence was denied by Naropas Catholic citizens.Left to subsist on scraps and pieces of fabric thrown by curious dead children, the captured clowns devised strange entertainments. Rumors emerged of a synergy between the muted feral cats........and the fetal remains that lined the walls of the clowns burial chamber. These hideous stigmata of stem cells would prance and sing to the music and puppetry of the jailed jesters. Some children told of the feti shifting shapes with the clowns and transmuting into one anothers tortured forms.Decades and the depredations of grave robbers took their toll on the clandestine convicts, until only a single clown and fetus was left, endlessly changing shapes with one another.Gone too, were all but a few desperate and errant children, the others being frightened away by strange tales. These few brave souls fed the duo discarded scraps and musical instruments: rusty guitars, antique drums and cheap Japanese sequencers. The remaining clown and fetus used these simple devices to improvise frightening songs whose alienating beats drew the towns children into their evil ambit.The horrid sounds that emerged from the long-abandoned Population Control Clinic became an object of great concern among the city fathers. After years and years of mind-numbing litigation, the clinic was destroyed, though soil remediation efforts continue to this day.The towns sympathetic cognoscenti assisted in the clown and fetuss escape. After years on the run, it is rumored that they found sanctuary in the depths of an abandoned factory in Vernon, California.It is said their strange transmutations continue, even into human form, and that the trio persists in their creation of imprisoned songs of the strange events they have witnessed, using the pathetic instruments stolen for them by Naropas children. It is even alleged that there are sound recordings of their efforts, and that they are known to emerge out of cover of night to luridly entertain Southern Californias notoriously decadent citizenry. We know that some are so flea-bitten in their skepticism that nought but vision will vanquish their doubts.For that reason, we list protectors of this demented duo, now known as Clowns and Fetuses. They have averred that, upon a polite request, they will unleash this hideous blight upon the night spots of our community to further deprave the masses.
