About Me

Hey, welcome to my...space

My name is Ian. I love to play the guitar and write songs. My main influences are probably Switchfoot (mostly their older stuff like "The Legend of Chin"), and John Mayer ("Fit to Be Square"). hehe , unfortunatly I don't sound like either. I am also an artist (both classical, and computer) You can visit my sight at Pidgenhorn.com

All that aside though, really the most important thing in understanding is the beliefe in Jesus Christ, and knowing that he is your personal lord, savior, and friend.

Influences: Switchfoot is way cool, they love God and make good music. I'm also down with Jason Maraz, and crunin to Coldplay (espacially Parachutes ~"Bones sinkn like stones oh oh...And I called it Yellow"). And Sir John Mayer of course who's style of playing is as complex as the lyrics he writes. Oh btw, check out the band Berto Ramon (they are one of my friends) they are freakin awesome!Movies: I'm in to... duh duh duh Anime. Yes I am a geek. Hayao Miyazaki is one of my favorite directors and screenplay writers. Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away are two of my favorite films. Akira Kurosawa's Dreams is absolutely mind boggling and incredibly intuitive for its time. Terry Gilliam's movie Brazil is another ground shaking film, which similarly to Dreams speaks on modern consumerism, and environmental injustices (which come to think of it so is Princess Mononoke). Of course all intellectualism aside I also enjoy the beat'm up watchn on a red-neck Wednesday movies like Gladiator, or yes even such mindless galas as The Transporter. Then again there's always the slower, but more artfully done action/drama films like Open Range, or Comedic/action/dramas like A Knight's Tale (one of my favorite light movies of all times - loosely based on one of the sub stories in Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales).I like writing music, and lyrics:Im not trying to be brave I'm not trying to be strong I just want to love herIf I'm being brave If I'm being strong It's all for herAs the rain falls - So does my countenance So do my prayers rise up Therefore I will cry out so do my spirits liftOh little church - No small steeple on a hill I pray for you Made of flesh and bone I wrote this song...for youOh little church - No small steeple on a hill I pray for you Keep your lights on I wrote this song...for you
