About Me

Let's see, my name is Kiley Zellitti and I'm a (as far as I know) graduating senior at Pacific Union College, studying Biochemistry. I have two younger siblings, a sister (Laura) who is 19 years old and is in the Nursing program in Tennessee and a Brother (Marcello) who is 15 years old and a freshman in High school -- sweet kid. Yes, that does make me the oldest, and my brother always likes to point out that I am also the shortest. But as for me, I don't know what to say, I guess I tend to bite off more than I can chew, but I have always landed on my feet. While my mother says that I don't have a shy bone in my body, I am dead scared of public speaking and even worse in front of someone I want to Impress. Oh, and I also love to travel, by myself, or with other people, it doesn't matter to me, as long as I get to actually see and experience the new culture. Oh, and I love photography, I took my background photo, I love it, it's kind of artsy, but I hope that I don't ruin it. I think that I want to be a Doctor, either an Oncologist or an Emergency Physician, or a Dentist, although Pharmacy School doesn't look too bad - I'm still deciding, and, unfortunately, I still have plenty of time. Well, I would always teach science, which would be fun, or just become a nurse and have a little something called freedom so that I could travel. I have to figure that out quick... I hate decisions... Oh, and I am easily distractible, I always manage to forget very important things, I can actually forget that it is cold outside and be fine without a coat until someone says something... I need to work on that... let's see, oh, I am in the process of becoming an EMT. And I am an RA at Andre Hall, a tutor for the TLC, and a lab biology lab TA, oh yeah, and a Senator at large that presently sits on the Anticheating Commitee at PUC. But, none of these things are who I really am, they are only titles, if you really want to know me, just talk to me, I promise I don't bite!

“The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference."

“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.”

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
--Elie Weisel

As Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, we know there is a direct relationship between peace, justice and respect for human rights.
As long as women are denied human rights, anywhere in the world, there can be no justice and no peace.
Recognizing women's equal rights, therefore, is an essential requirement for the creation of strong, sustainable and stable societies and ensuring that women enjoy equality with men in all areas of life is a key step to making human rights a universal reality.
- Shirin Ebadi, 2003 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate & Irene Khan, Secretary General of Amnesty International, which was awarded the 1977 Nobel Peace Prize

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, indeed it's the only thing that ever does.

The trouble with some women is they get all excited over nothing - and then they marry him!
