I am a drummer/percussionist based in NYC, Brooklyn to be exact. I have been playing drums as long as I can remember and got my first kit at age 10. Growing up in southern Connecticut I honed my skills playing with award winning middle and high school Jazz big bands, concert bands, marching bands, and orchestras. I was then awarded a scholarship to attend the Jazz Performance program at the University of South Florida in Tampa. While there I further expanded my knowledge by studying with David Via and Danny Gottlieb and playing with various big bands and small combos, as well as touring with local rock acts outside of school. I made my big move back north to NYC in 2005 and haven't looked back since. So far here I have toured with indie rock acts playing festivals such as SXSW and Lollapalooza, as well as many small venues across the northeast. I then started studying with Adam Deitch and now co-lead funk/afrobeat group 'Out of Pockets' as well as play with various other projects and one-off gigs, and have recently started learning the science of beat making and production.
