Azis

Azis is a Bulgarian chalga folk singer known for cross-dressing.Azis has caused some controversy in Bulgaria with his queer-like ways and his campaigning on behalf of the somewhat downtrodden Roma gypsy minority. He is one of the most famous people in Bulgaria.As an entertainer he has recorded and performed many popular and traditional songs. His discography includes: "Celuvai Me" (2003), "Na Golo" (2003), "Kraliat" (2004), "Together" w/Desislava (2004), and "2005" (2005). His recordings also feature guest chalga stars.His real name is Vasco, and comes from a gypsy lineage. He began his political carrer in 2005 as a member of the Euroroma political party and run in the general elections' campaign on the summer of 2005 but didn't receive enough votes to become a Member of the Parliament.
