Greg Da Hamma is one of the many up and coming DJ's in the Baltimore area. He first got the itch to DJ in 1994 by watching the legendary Baltimore DJ's Boobie and Kenny B mix at the old Hammerjacks night club on Sunday nights. By 1995, Greg Da Hamma was under the watchful eye of other local young DJ's J-Money and Tim-Nice(Both prodigies of DJ Boobie) as they taught him the basics of mixing.
Within two years, Greg had brought his first pair of Technics 1200 turntables and had collected enough records to start out on his journey. In 1998, he became a member of the local legendary dance group known as "Da Horsemen" who put out such Baltimore club music classics as "We Boyzz" and "We Bout It" but all along the love for mixing never went away. For 3 1/2 years, Greg Da Hamma operated in relative obscurity, getting very few gigs but never stopped working on his craft.
In 2002, his big chance finally came. He got an opportunity to open a party in Downtown Baltimore for K-Swift and he made the most of it. K-Swift invited him to join her entertainment company, Club Queen Entertainment. He remained a member of CQE for the rest of 2003 before leaving. In the summer of 2004, something new arose. Greg Da Hamma joined one of his mentors, Tim-Nice in a new venture. He began mixing two nights a week at Rush Hour Sportsbar and Grill in the Randallstown suburb of Baltimore. From late 2004-August of 2006, Greg has been a fixture not only at Rush Hour but also mixing at the Paradox on Saturday Nights with former WPGC 95.5, X105.7, and current XM Radio DJ, DJ Lil Mic for the alternative lifestylers in the Baltimore/DC area. Greg Da Hamma has also played in such Baltimore clubs as Hammerjacks, Club X Lounge (now known as Xanadu), Kamp Lounge, and Redwood Trust. Near the end of 2006, Greg was invited by current WPGC 95.5 mixer, DJ Reddz to become a member of the newest DJ crew in the mid atlantic region called Street Jocks USA. He considers this a honor and humbly excepted the offer.
Now in 2008, Greg is looking to take his craft to the next level thru mixtapes and clubs hoping to fulfill his longtime dream of mixing on the radio.
