Kurkova

Kurkova or the kurkova project was conceived by Nano "The Knife" Dorian and Bastian " Boscoe" Benavente in the late 90's with 19 and 21 years respectly, they had been playing together since 94, in 98 they start to make some simple songs with a piano, a sinth and drums, then Nano went to italy to live for a year and in his return get into some drug addiction problems and the duet has to take a big rest thanks to the psichodelic way of life in which their lives laid on the sea bed of subtances; Bastian felt that that world was dangerous and life was in risk of ODS and quit the addictions, and the duet stopped making music, Bastian gather with other people and he persuit the dream of making music; years later around late 2004, Nano and Bastian decided to get back and in the first rehearsal the splinter of playing was back and They record the first ep of the band (Pleroma) with 19 songs Ep that they record just the 2 of them; Then they started to think that they should have a full band and started to seek for a Guitar player and the most dificult Bassist with vibe, the guitar player was sort of easy it was a old known friend Wawo"zono" hedz, an old school loud heavy chordy guitarrist that was happy to make music and surf in new types of music, first time they cast him, nano thinks he was so loud, second time wawo and nano make in 5 minutes the first official kurkova's song; Then they went to this party and saw another old face, Ivanovic and chattingwith him he said that he always was into music and the rest is history....in 07 they prepared the second EP (The lado oscuro, current songs in the myspace player) it was such a door opener cause it give the band to perfom live in festivals, clubs, parties in Mty and few times Out of Mty, now they are preparing some songs and next theyre taking it to the next level:record, be famous, and world domination; Now with Producer Phil vynall(Radiohead, snowpatrol, placebo, zoe, etc) theyre making they first Major material in DMY studios, they taking stuff from previous Ep's (Pleroma 2004, the lado oscuro 2007) and bring it with the new tunes and make the best of this new album which name and date of release is yet to be known, 2009 it is the year of kurkova's take off, and in the words of Nano: "The best is yet to come and you aint see nothing yet".
