Yes, it's me, the beautiful lady with the three cats (I've never forgotten that!!)...Originally an Ohioan, I've been here in southern CA since September 1997. In a way, I miss the Midwest...but maybe that's because I left my heart in Chicago when I was there in July 2006! I don't miss the weather...just the people...OK, just one very special person (more on that in a bit).
I worked doing telephone interviewing for years...and finally staying at one place proved to be worth it, in November 2006 when the position of Admin. Assistant/Receptionist was offered to me (thereby FREEING me from the Survey Dept.!). I accepted, and I was a very happy camper in that position, clear up to my surgery in November 2007
In my spare time, I take care of my three cats--tabbies, born Aug. 29, 2001. I also try to get in a little rest and relaxation, but that's hard sometimes. But the absolute MUST in my evenings is listening to my friend Dick Biondi...now that he's back on the radio where he belongs, far be it from me to take that for granted!! And I'll be one of his most loyal listeners no matter what else is going on!
Housing was too expensive in southern CA, which is why I finally moved back home to Cleveland, OH...I look forward to getting a kidney transplant and getting my life back--in full!
***I need a kidney transplant. I have what is called: Polycystic Kidney disease. What happened was my kidneys were being replaced by cysts, some of which were filled with blood. They got so big, then they pop. The cycle continued until my kidneys were completely taken over by these cysts. I have three choices, do nothing and let nature take its course, or dialysis, which can makes me feel worse but does keep me alive, or have a transplant. I had a double nephrectomy on Nov. 29 (2007), so I am now left with nothing but dialyis to keep me going. My blood type is A+. If there is anyone out there who would like to give the gift of life, I sure would appreciate it. My family cannot help due to either age and/or illness. I know it's a lot to ask but I wouldn't if I had nothing to live for. If you don't, I understand it is a lot to ask from someone. If you are interested in donating a kidney or just want some infomation about being a doner you can search on line or you can e-mail me at:
[email protected]. I will be going through The Cleveland Clinic's Transplant Center, and/or University Hospitals' Transplant Center. You can call the Cleveland Clinic's Living Donors Coordinator, Audrey Kaplan, at 1-216-445-3150, or University Hospitals' Transplant Coordinator, at 1-216-844-3689 to ask what is reguired to be a donor. Thanks to all and thanks for reading this.
Did I mention Chicago? If anyone happens to have, or know of, a vacancy in the Chicagoland area, please, let me know...I'd consider.
Thanks for stopping by and reading!!!
