I thought it was time to update my "about me" section...
It has been 6mos since Roger passed away, and life has not been easy! I think about him and miss him everyday. My chrilden and I are keeping his memory alive...we have his pictures up around the house and some of his special things (like his fire helemet, his G.I. Joes, his Marvin the Martian ect...my daughter sleeps every night with his and I wedding quilt that he loved so much. All of us have a few of his t-shirts we sleep in including me!
There has been a few incidences where you can even say we have "felt him here with us!" now I know a lot of people may say we are crazy for thinking this, but we believe in
Sunday June 24th my life was changed for-ever!!!!
The father of my children and my "very" close friend was taken from this world, without any warning we lost the foundation we built our "world"

I was left standing in the ER with 3 children who could not be given a reason or explanation for such loss and sadness. All I could do was hold them and keep them next to me....(I felt numb, and I kept feeling like I had to keep them ALL next to me...I felt that if one of them walked off or went to set with a relative that what little of a world I had left would crumble!!!) When we finally made it home me and the kids crawled into bed and I laid there and held all three of them until I drifted off into a restless sleep.
I want to thank everyone who attended the funeral or who helped make it the "Heart-felt and Honorable" service that it was! I know Roger was watching and was very moved and felt honored and loved!
I was able to keep it together through most of the service until we drove down the road and saw Alvin's and Santa Fe's Ladder trucks with ladders extended and crossed together with a large American flag hanging in between the two. ..

My eyes filled with tears but my heart overflowed with pride for the man who was my best friend and husband for 10yrs....even though we divorced we were still the closest of friends, we called each others cell phones 5 or 6 times a day! Roger was my ("good angel, which sat on my shoulder") he was my sense of reasoning and rationale! I can't begin to count how may times I called him to double-check a decision I was about to make even thought I knew the answer/choice was correct. I just wanted to hear him tell me I was doing the right thing.= )
As far a Roger as a father.....well that's easy!

I have the best kids in the whole world! Brian is 2yrs old and is loving, funny, giving (ok he's a bitter! lol)but he gets that from me!
Sarah is 9yrs old going on 40! And she is straight A's...and very sweet and funny (but lord is she hard headed!) she gets that from her dad! lol
Taylor is 14y/o and is really "together" for a boy that age, but if I could only keep the girls off him!
I don't get to see my other (step) son that much anymore but Brandon is 12y/o and is so funny and sweet and lord he can fish. I miss him...more than he knows.(((I'm making a change to that...Brandon is coming down to visit me on a regular basis now! yeaaaa!!!!!
I was just involved in a major car accident on the 12th of June. I was stopped at a red light and this guy looking for his cell phone rear-ended me at 55mph! My "pimp wagon" is gone! I'm just glad my kids were not in the car with me!my sign....(no I don't base my life around this, but it is fun and this ones right on target!)
