About Me

I'm boring. I really am. No one believes this, but it is true. I'm a recluse and I'm quite happy about it. I avoid people like the plague. In fact, I suspect quite a few people actually HAVE the plague and therefore I hide from everyone.I am overly educated. So much so that I actively annoy people. I've traveled anywhere people really want to go and a number of places people don't want to go or shouldn't go. I've got the scars and souvenirs to show for it.I'm a massive nerd (no, not as actually measured in mass). I know more useless crap than is fundamentally healthy. If you have a history question, I'm your man. Want to know the historical significance of the Ionian Revolts of 495-490 BC? Ask me. Want to know the governmental structure of the late Roman Republic? I'm all yours. Need someone who can construct a trebuchet that can hurl a flaming toilet filled with gasoline 300 yards? That would be me.I'm all that and a bag of low sodium sunflower seeds. Love me. Hate me. Be gentle. If not, well, just bear in mind that there might be an inbound ballistic fiery commode in your future.

My Interests

Books. Travel. Books while traveling. (I read more than is healthy, now that I think about it.) History. Astronomy. Geology. Hydrology. Rock Climbing. Hiking. Camping. Wheelin'. Toys (electronics and kayaks and others, get your mind out of the gutter, you dirty, dirty people.) Linguistics. Food and Cooking (cucina Italiano). Games.
