About Me

Hey, friends and readers! So, I'm Denise Vega and I write books for munchkins through teens, live in that heaven called Colorado, and like hangin with my fam--hubby & three kids. On MySpace, I just focus on my stuff for tweens and teens.
I have tres hermanas y un hermano and they all live here in Colorado. I'm not bilingual but I wish I was--I know enough Spanish to make me look stupid when I try to speak but I keep at it anyway--I really want to learn. I have Mexican and Spanish blood and my last name means "fertile plain."

I own three pairs of Chuck Taylors.

YES! I reply to my MySpace messages!
But remember, I can't reply if I'm not your friend! If your profile is set to Private--good for you! But make sure I can become your friend so I can reply to any messages you send me. You need to either ask to be my friend or include your last name or your real email address in your message to me so I can be your friend and reply to your messages.
!!!WINNER Colorado Authors' League Top Hand Award!!! 16-year-old Kat Flynn believes in going with the flow. She practices yoga, works with her mom at Abra's Midwifery, and watches the Perfect Couple in the hall at school. But when she finds herself in the middle of the Perfect Couple's drama and some drama of her own, Kat has to decide whether going with the flow is really the best way to come back to herself.

Watch the Fact of Life #31 book trailer below!

Seventh-grader Erin Swift has a talent for computers, a love of Snickers, and big feet that are great for soccer and useless for dancing. She has a lot on her mind: a new school where she and her best friend Jilly are separated for the first time in school, a crush on the Cute Boy in her homeroom, leading the school intranet project, and a role as a corncob in the school play. Then real disaster strikes, and Erin sets off on a surprising journey to self-discovery — and the many meanings of cherry-flavored Tootsie Pops.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who likes to read and/or write. I especially love hearing about middle school and high school and what you guys go through, since that's the main age I write for in my books.

I'd also like to meet more boys who are secure enough in their manhood that they aren't afraid to read my book. The boys I have met--you rock!
