But, Christen’s love of art began as a small child where drawing and then painting were her favorite past-times. Her love of art drove her to her collegiate pursuit and it was during college that she began to explore decorative art and designing for interiors.Christen brings her unique vision of interiors as art to each project. And, she is hands-on, unlike many other decorators. Christen doesn’t job out her visions, she creates them herself, from decorative painting, to seeing through the imaginative use of fabrics, pencils and unusual found objects.Christen is constantly learning and pushing the envelope by translating her experiences into interiors through experimental mediums. For one client she used polyurethane to create a stunning visual painting effect. And she even completely stripped an ottoman and recovered it using bathroom rugs, which gave the piece, a unique and alluring quality.Christen considers each interior as a whole and always seeks to add as much depth and brilliance to each room.
