I like things that are good, and also things that are impressively bad.
I wish I spoke more languages, and am a bit happy that the celebrity look-alike thing says I look like Leslie Cheung, because even though I don't, he's hot.

I tend to prefer ones that surprise me. 8 Femmes, Delicatessen, A Better Tomorrow, Kung Fu Hustle, Dune, Totoro, Porco Rosso, anything Wong kar-Wai, et cetera. I really liked "The Science of Sleep."
Project Runway, Scrubs, Foster's Home, Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls. Also Coupling (BBC version) and Cowboy Bebop reruns.
Far too many to list. Of what I've read this summer I loved "The Ancestor's Tale," "Parasite Rex," "Last Chance to See," "Monstrous Regimen," "As Golems Go," and also "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay," which I actually read years ago but was discussing with my mom who just read it.
