Oh yes, it is cleverly disguised as one: CD box and silver platter... but as soon as it's in the player all similarities to mentioned object vanish: THIS IS A PAINTING or rather a full exhibition of Impressionist pictures painted by a master painter! Rich primary colors on one canvas, tender pearly yellows and greens on another. Beautiful landscapes and intimate views all done with a perfect perspective. Sublime close harmonies weave through the whole piece like gold and silver threads. Gavin Stephens plays and sings everything himself, displaying dexterity and confidence throughout. To pick out the best tracks would do a great disservice to this breathtaking recording. Clocking in at just under 35 minutes, it should be listened to in its entirety, every time! Gorgeous art work from Dave Houssart completes this beautiful package.
