Gun Outro (extract)
I'm currently working on a cover version of a country song I like- I'll post it when it's finished- and these are some of the elements I'm adding to it.
It's a drum machine beat recorded in 1985, cut up 2 days ago; another drum machine track recorded in 2005, cut up in 2006 and very carelessly transfered yesterday; and a recording of Brent Cross Tube Station made last Summer.

Late Night Long Distance
Found this one in a folder that has been transferred from drive to drive for the last 9 years. I wasn't sure about it back then, probably because it has my own voice on it, but now I like it.

plukwaltz (sketch)

5 chords, a scratched CD, a phazey loop that's the wrong length in places, a couple of whacks on the bhodran and some rain. Ta-da!

GENEVA2
Added this track today- it's the combination of a field recording and an experiment with automation glitches in Logic 9.
By the way, I realise that my output hasn't been as vast as I expected in early 2009. This is because my live engineering schedule got very hectic and I hardly saw home/studio at all this year.. But I've got a couple of months off now (Jan/Feb) so am planning to get caught up on a lot of loose ends. I'll keep you posted.

DESTROYER
Added a new NO STEP track today- It's meant to be a combination Cock Rock / Electroclash tune, but I think the CR got the upper hand.. I hope you like it!
NO STEP is me and MC SOOM T from Glasgow. We've got an EP coming out in March- check http://www.myspace.co/nostepproject for details. I'm working on a LOAD of other NO STEP tunes just now- maybe enough for 2 albums even..
More soon!

New toons!
As promised, I have uploaded another recent snippet from LORDHAGOS HQ.
I've been working with Mr Pete Burns for over 20 years now, and for the last 5 of those 20 we've been going under the name Fuselage. Pete came down here a few weeks ago and we got a LOAD of new tracks started :)
System is the closest we came to finishing anything- and we may well rework it out of all recognition later- but I quite like it just the way it is now.
It's a Cave-man pop song..
MORE COMING VERY SOON

There are going to be a few changes around here!
This Myspace has been up for a while, and it doesn't look like I'm going to get Selected Offcuts 2 finished anytime soon, so I've decided I'm going to start uploading snippets of the 'other' stuff that goes on here (with the consent of collaborators obviously).
First up is a tune I re-worked for Ken Rose recently called Sunshine Dust. We haven't got a name for the project yet (Milk Milk?), but plan to do some more tracks soon..
THE OLD SPIEL
I am LORD HAGOS.
Hello.
I've been making experimental electronic music since around 1980 when I discovered how to dub from one cassette machine to another.
Since then I've programmed, mixed and produced albums, singles and remixes for various bands but never had a release of my own.
I always regarded the tracks I made at home as unfinished sketches and experiments, which I used parts of- or techniques developed in- for other more "bona fide" releases.
It's only very recently that I've felt that I want some of these tracks to be heard. As a result "Selected Offcuts"- an 11 track compilation- is now available on Rubbish Records.
I think these tracks take most of their influence from '70s ambient music and '90s electronic music- the latter coming from the point of view of an outsider to the scene..
I hope you enjoy them.

Sounds Like: A fight between 2 rival drum machine gangs in a tube station, a long drive through the night, a formal dance with a runaway drum-machine in the rain, a large tin-can dressing room that sucks, poppy Peaches collabing with AC/DC, Neanderthal Pop, an Epiphanic Astronaut, an Attack of the Portmanteau Horrors, and an Indie-Rock band transported back to the '80s.

Seliptungue (1985)

Added a very OLD track this morning, Seliptungue, recorded by myself and Andy Walker live to cassette tape in 1985. I've uploaded this one to iLike as it's too big for Myspace. Hope you like it!LORD H...
