The Snauzeberries

About Me

Rob Swagler & Mellisa Winterman wed in August of 2005 at Hidden Lake Winery. A few months prior, they asked Cory to put together some music for their reception.Having no current band, Cory thought of some former bandmates that had recently been jamming together. Aaron Halsey (of Curb fame), was jamming about every week with Travis Hill (spearhead of the band Open). The plan was: get tight (or a reasonable fraction thereof)as a trio, then get other reception attendants to join the fun at different points during the night.
The plan went off without a hitch. About 8 different friends joined the band throughout the night; adding guitars, trumpet, vocals, saxophone, and good times! After unloading equipment late that night, the fellas sat around till an unreasonable hour of the morning, rapping about how they actually pulled it off. Figuring that over 4 hours of material was in the bag, they would hit a few local bars. The "berries" started playing out around good ol' Clinton County; making a habit of having a musical guest (or two or three or more) during each performance.Although The Snauzeberries passion for music is strong, this band's approach is very lighthearted. The group rarely practices - they jam loose & improvise quite frequently. So come on out & jam with the berries! Don't be afraid to "lick the walls". And never question a crazy old man wearing a matching purple velvet jacket & top hat.
