I was born in Casablanca (Morroco),spent my teens in Paris and am now based in Derby. my music is a mix: my love for rythm comes from my Latin /oriental origins.My feel from my French romantic bacground and melodies from my musical road...folk/rock/blues/flamenco...I sing in many languages including Spanish, French and English. I love to perform and entertain. MY best original love songs may have been written in English ,but i m writing in Spanish and French too. I sing IN 3 LANGUAGES, a lot of Gipsy kings happy and lively stuff .I lead a band Solar Latino www.solarlatino.com( sounds of Gipsy Kings and Santana). We specialise in Latin events which are designed to combine latin music live and latin dancing:eg salsa,merengue,bachata,Cumbia etc.. some successful past gigs include :BMI Baby airline launch at East Midland Airport (filmed by BBC), Derby County new kit launch (Joma) 2005, Pride Park Stadium, Cuba Libre Salsa Club opening night, Nottingham, QMC Ball, Kelham Castle, Opium Bar, Nottingham residency 2004/2005 .have a few TV appearances on the BBC soap Doctors as a flamenco guitarist..(11TH APRIL 06) and on ITV TRAVEL TO SPAIN competition on ITV CENTRAL NEWS 6PM. Daily 8th-13th Aug 06.And recently again in DOCTORS VALENTINE S EPISODE on 14TH FEBRUARY 2007 . my 3rd appearance in Doctors as a salsa dancer was on May 7th 07..On this space you will hear some of my originals mainly(ALL RECORDED LIVE AT HOME -NOT IN STUDIO) but if you log on www.solarlatino.com ,you will hear some latin/jazz music all recorded at live gigs.If i put any of the SOLAR LATINO band songs on this space you ll enjoy DAVID s drumming, Ian Marshall on bass and CLIVE Buxton Santana s style lead guitar. I m hoping to get in a studio sometime and record some original and latin songs with my band.
